Pursue Research & Creative Projects in Honors.

The John Martinson Honors Program offers a variety of project offerings that allow students to pursue research and/or creative endeavors under faculty supervision. Project opportunities can be taken for academic credit or can be appealed to complete one Honors requirement.

Honors Directed Study

An Honors Directed Study allows students to conduct research and creative endeavors under supervision of a Northeastern faculty member of their choice.

Honors Interdisciplinary Thesis

An Honors Interdisciplinary Thesis allows students to create a work of scholarship that integrates and applies bodies of knowledge that stem from diverse disciplines.

Self-Directed Global Experience

A Self-Directed Global Experience allows students to explore a specific topic or issue conducted in an Honors Directed Study through a global lens as they travel outside of the country.

Independent Research Petition

The Independent Research Petition gives students the opportunity to have previous research experience(s) that have not earned credit to be used to fulfill an Honors requirement.
