Through the John Martinson Honors Program, students can effect lasting change in our local, national, and global communities. Students can get started making an impact through a variety of campus organizations and learning opportunities.

Alternative Spring Break

Alternative Spring Breaks (ASB) is an immersive service and learning experience in which students volunteer with community organizations during Spring Break.

NU ACES

Northeastern’s Alliance of Civically Engaged Students is a community engagement program that connects students to the Boston neighborhoods that surround them. ACES students utilize asset-based mindset to contribute and develop as civic-minded leaders.

Northeastern CETR

The Community-Engaged Teaching and Research office at Northeastern allows students to explore experiential opportunities focused on service, justice, and community learning in and outside of the classroom.

Service-Learning Courses

Service-Learning Courses allow students to pursue community-engaged partnership and collaboration while completing classes for their Major and/or Minor degrees.

Global Brigades

Northeastern University has active chapters for the Global Medical Brigade and Global Dental Brigade, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems.

The Community Service & Civic Engagement office at Northeastern offers critical experiential learning opportunities that allows students to understand and have an impact in the world.
