Additional Funding and Financial Aid Opportunities
There are many additional funding sources for global endeavors open to all Honors students, including passport reimbursements, generous Pell-Eligible scholarships, and more.
Passport Reimbursement
All students who are U.S. citizens are eligible for assistance in obtaining their first passport. This reimbursement does not apply towards passport renewals or to non-U.S. citizens.
The Honors Program will reimburse students for the following fees incurred in applying for their first passport:
- Photo fee ($17)
- Passport application fee ($130)
- Execution fee ($35)
Students will need to pay for each fee using three separate checks. The Honors Program will then provide reimbursement.
Please contact the Honors Program with any questions.
Funding Opportunities
In order to increase the likelihood of successfully applying for funds, all applicants should review funding details and prepare application long before the deadline. Students who are applying for non-NU funding are strongly encouraged to consult the Undergraduate Research and Fellowships office in order to receive guidance on putting together a competitive application.
